The data, gathered in 2024, covers over 115,000 processes from 337 manufacturers.

The report:

  • Showcases the current state of the industry

  • Emphasizes the importance of accurate data for driving environmental improvements

  • Highlights current industry benchmarks

  • Helps understand EIM score and provides indicators on how to improve your score

  • Offers tangible, actionable recommendations for reducing water, energy, and chemical impacts through process optimization, better material choices, and updated technologies.

“For years, the textile industry lacked reliable tools to measure environmental impact. This report is a crucial step toward transparency and continuous improvement.”— Begoña García, EIM creator and report co-author

At GoBlu, we appreciate this report from Jeanologia- sharing transparently how the calculations work on the EIM platform through this report, as well as which specific areas needs improvement and optimization in the textile industry.

GoBlu offers EIM Data Verification Services

EIM scores are based on self-reporting by factories to assess their environmental impact. Following the industry’s need towards data verification, accuracy and transparency, GoBlu together with Jeanologia developed the EIM Verification Programme.

The EIM verification programme adds further credibility to the work done by processing facilities, by confirming the integrity of the data. To learn more, visit https://www.eimverification.com/

Launch of EIM Verification Programme

Launch of EIM Verification by GoBlu

The EIM, Jeanologia’s Environmental Impact Measuring software, has been established in the industry for years as a unique and powerful platform for monitoring and improving the environmental impact of garment finishing processes. Today, we are pleased to introduce a new verification program for EIM scores with our long-time partner Jeanologia. As the scores are based on self-declaration data, this verification program provides a way to confirm the integrity of the scores. Looking at the facility from both a management system and overall facility perspective, the program can be used to determine whether a facility is competent in generating self-declared EIM scores using correct data.

The program was developed and successfully piloted with a working group of industry experts and stakeholders, including service provider BluWin, UK fashion brands and retailers Marks and Spencer, Primark, Tesco and a number of their suppliers. “It was important for us to involve an independent player in the process of developing the new verification program. The combination of GoBlu’s industry expertise and capacity in IT solutions development and data intelligence made them an ideal partner for this endeavor”, states BEGOÑA GARCIA, Product Manager at Jeanologia.

As transparency and credibility of data around sustainable fashion are anchored in GoBlu's own corporate mission, it was a great confirmation for us to be approached by Jeanologia for developing the new EIM verification program. We are excited to establish this verification program as a leading standard for sustainable denim finishing processes.

The program is available now for all companies working with the EIM – mention “Early Bird Pricing” when booking for 20% off (valid until 1st of September). More information can be found on our website www.eimverification.com and in our press release: https://lnkd.in/e-zTGnCt
